Paulo Santos, Marketing vice president of AMPRO, the Brazilian Promotional Marketing Association, says LACIME 2004, the first Latin American & Caribbean Incentive & Meetings Exhibition, represents international recognition of the importance of the incentive travel industry. “We will show the market that there are qualified professionals to plan and operate incentive travel and meetings. LACIME 2004 embodies the vigorous growth of this market,” he says, referring to the sector’s expanding share of the global economy. With the support of the Brazilian Association of Event Organisers (ABEOC), AMPRO is organising the First Brazilian Meeting of Incentive Houses (EBEI), to be held during LACIME 2004. The 1st EBEI will bring together incentive marketing professionals, suppliers and clients for a series of presentations and debates about the sector.
