Unprecedented initiative reinforces special attention to participant safety
This week, ABAV confirmed another new initiative for the 41st ABAV- Tourism Fair of the Americas: this year, all visitors, including foreign participants, who register online will automatically receive travel assistance from Travel Ace Assistance.
The benefit provides participants with medical assistance in the event of accident or illness, coverage for medications, emergency dental care and coverage for lost baggage, as well as ambulance transportation, return travel, repatriation in the event of death or for health reasons, among other services. “This initiative further reinforces the partnership that we have had for years with Travel Ace for ABAV event visitors and is an exclusive advantage for participants of the biggest and best Tourism Fair of the Americas,” says Antonio Azevedo, ABAV President.
“In addition, coverage is extended for the full length of stay of the participant during the event, from the time they leave home until they return, including cases where participants need to come early or stay on a few days,” explains Roberto Roman, Travel Ace Director.
In the emergency situations listed above, visitors should contact the Travel Ace Assistance customer service center with the code generated at the time of event registration.
